The extraordinary resource represented by the springs of Bressanvido

In Bressanvido there is a naturalistic phenomenon of great beauty and suggestion, on which the municipality has focused a lot in terms of enhancing the territory. In fact, in the territory there are numerous springs, small oases characterized by a spontaneous leakage of water from the sandy soil. A typical resurgence is made up of flora and fauna: there is water, there are plants and banks, aquatic grasses, fish and the so-called stable meadow, a network of plants and spontaneous vegetation. Once they were more numerous, about 100, but then the anthropic activity and changed climatic conditions have led them to be just over 40 today. The springs are often very beautiful places: the most famous is that of Castellaro, where the water comes out so slowly and from so many points that its movement is almost imperceptible. In Bressanvido there is a committee that deals with these wetlands, which in 2014 presented a project for their redevelopment that received funding from the European Community.
