Tornimparte's record-breaking polenta

Where: tornimparte
(Tornimparte)
Genre: wine and food

In 2019 Tornimparte made headlines for a curious gastronomic record. In the presence of judges sent by the organization of the Guinness Book of World Records, in fact, a group of passionate chefs created a truly unique dish of polenta. In fact, the polenta, made according to the traditional recipe and seasoned with abundant tomato sauce and pork sausage, was spread on the pastry board reaching a length of 153 meters and 20 centimeters. In this way Tornimparte broke the previous record (although it had not been officially registered) which belonged to Corinaldo and which concerned a 100 meter long polenta. The two organizers of the event had the idea of attempting such a feat, and they explained how it all started with an evening with friends. Speaking, the desire to revive the old habit of sharing a plate of polenta was conceived. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm. And once the record was obtained, those present ate all the polenta.
