The forest after the snowfall.

Where: casteldelfino
(Bertines.)
Genre: nature   fun

The town is a small hamlet located at the confluence of the Val Bellino with the Val Chianale. At an altitude of 1393 m, it is the starting point for numerous excursions including the one to the villages and grange. In a stretch of carriageway just shoveled, you reach the Chapel of Santo Stefano. The colors of the fresco on the facade are bright in contrast to the stone roof, covered by snow. Behind the shoulders the view extends over the Bellino valley where the snow-covered ridges are shrouded in silence and still in the snow. You reach Borgata Alboin at an altitude of 1454 m. From the small group of tidy houses with sheltered piles of wood and a smoking chimney, continue along the U51 path to Prelambert. In the woods, the sun becomes more decisive, releasing crystals of snow that fall from the blue sky and in the shade the rime still draws icy veils, beautiful and rare, on the glittering branches. You go up again along the path U 51 which visits the grange, typical peasant houses up to the 19th century, and you reach the one of Barsere at an altitude of 1574 m. The snow covers the whole panorama, clear and clean, in the clear air the sun warms us and gets along well with the light of the snow.
