Two excellences protagonists of the White Truffle Market Exhibition of the Crete Senesi

The territory of the Crete Senesi found itself united in the name of good food and good wine at the 32nd edition of the White Truffle Market Exhibition of the Crete Senesi. That edition, which took place in 2017, was particular as it was the first to take place in Montalcino. Traditionally the event took place in San Giovanni d'Asso, which is considered the homeland of the truffle, a highly prized and often very expensive product. San Giovanni and Montalcino, however, have decided to join together to start the most ambitious and largest project in the rural district, aimed at bringing together all the municipalities of the Crete Senesi, each with its own excellences. At the Market Exhibition, in fact, it was not possible to taste and buy only truffles, or bottles of Brunello di Montalcino, but also oil, honey, cereals, and many other local products. By creating a shared communication, the intent was to enhance the local excellence as a whole, to overcome the difficulties that can always exist in the exploitation of spontaneous products such as truffles, or grapes for wine.
