The territory of Pramaggiore has an ancient wine tradition, which has been embodied in recent times with the creation of a social cellar. The winery was founded in the 1960s and brings together about 200 members. Each of them brings its own product, which is evaluated for quality purposes before being downloaded. During the harvesting periods, the amount of work involves the unloading of about 4000-5000 quintals of grapes per day, for a total weight of 130,000 quintals over the course of a whole year. The most popular wines are whites, Prosecco in the lead, followed by Pinot Grigio. The partners, however, also focus heavily on reds, which are less known but still of the highest quality. The grapes that flow into the cellar often also come from organic cellars. In Pramaggiore there is a strong attention in this sense, given that it is here that the first biodistrict of Veneto was born. Although the Lison-Pramaggiore DOC has merged with Venice, there are those who continue to use it exclusively to underline the continuity with the winemaking tradition of the area.
