A romantic path for everyone.

The lake is located in Val Pusteria at 1251 m. Its tributary, the Rienza stream, rises from the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, peaks bordering the Fanes-Senes-Braes group. The walk that surrounds it is suitable for all members of the family and leads through the beauties of the park and to the knowledge, thanks to the interactive panels, of the flora and fauna of the lake. Continuing the route, the path enters the fir forest, along the stream crossed in many points by wooden bridges, fabulous for children. The valley is vital and in the pastures, a little higher up, we meet peaceful cows and horses, also housed in the small zoo near the lake. In 1939 Mussolini fortified the border of the Vallo Alpino del Littorio with 5 bunkers, some of which are visible among the foliage of the plants. It is astonishing that nature takes possession of what still terrifies and pains us, or suggests that we retrace it, to remember it. Athletic play points have been set up along the stream, such as long jump or climbing, therefore strength and courage.
