Located near the north-west coast, the town embraces the Bardosu hill in an amphitheater, in the region formerly called Montiferru. The white houses placed on terraces sloping towards the coast, spread the light of dawn and the light of the new day envelops us. It is the ideal day to go to Is Arutas beach, famous for the color of the sand grains. The surf, which plays with strength, pushed by the wind, on the beach, crunches the water between the ankles and the wet sand exposed to the light becomes very colorful. After an excellent lunch, with typical fresh fish dishes, we visit San Salvatore di Sinis. Of pre-nuragic foundation, it remains uninhabited until the day of the barefoot race, when the old inhabitants return there for the race, expiation of the pain of abandonment. The area was used for western movies until the 1990s, suitable for low-rise houses and dirt roads. At sunset we find ourselves at the arch of s'Archittu, a natural inlet where the jagged rocks delimit the small gulf. The reflections of the red rays play between the edges of the rock and all this is tinged with the water.
