On 3 November 2018, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, an exhibition entitled 'From the Great War to the Great Peace' was inaugurated in Castelfranco Piadiscò. Thanks to the dedication and commitment of a municipal employee, numerous artifacts were collected which testified to life in the town at the time of the conflict. Some rooms of the time, such as the infirmary, have been reconstructed inside the halls of the Town Hall. The material on display was a lot, but daily. There were photos and clothes, as well as objects that recall a life of hardship and suffering and great difficulties. The aim, however, was to send a strong call for peace and harmony among peoples. In addition to the exhibition, open both in the morning and in the afternoon, the initiative also included a torchlight procession for peace, in silence, and a play. Several episodes of life in Castelfranco Piandiscò were staged at the time of the war, in a light way, but to make us think.
