Castelnuovo del Garda, between history and itineraries

Today we are in Castelnuovo del Garda, which extends between the Morainic hills of Garda and overlooks the wonderful lake. We immediately notice the numerous historical testimonies ranging from Roman finds to the castle tower, from the period of the Republic of Venice to the Neoclassical churches. The symbol of this small village is the Viscontea Tower, located in the center of the town, witness of the ancient castle, built in 1387 by Gian Galeazzo Visconti. The numerous villas that dot the village are an attraction for pleasant walks, inside which, especially in the summer season, they are home to numerous shows. Among the main ones we remember the Cossali, Sella and Arvedi villas. The tourist excellence of the municipality of Castelnuovo is the very famous amusement park known throughout Europe, Gardaland. There are also many itineraries that combine aspects of a cultural, sporting and environmental nature. There is no shortage of routes between the main vineyards of Castelnuovo and the food and wine tours within the cellars of the area.
