Isola di Capo Rizzuto is a town in the province of Crotone well known for seaside tourism thanks to more than 30 km of coastline. In the historic center it is possible to observe some places of interest such as the mother church which houses some valuable works such as a Greek Madonna painted in oil on canvas. Another place of worship certainly more recent is the Sanctuary of the Greek Madonna, dedicated to the Protectress of Isola di Capo Rizzuto and begun in 1991. There are also the remains of a fortified feudal castle dating back to the sixteenth century and of which the medieval gate is preserved. which today divides the ancient part of the country from the more modern one. Among the most famous hamlets, Le Castella deserves a visit, known for the Aragonese castle, for the beaches that alternate between sand and rocks and some Roman archaeological remains. The fortress extends over a small island that juts out into the sea linked to the mainland by a thin strip of land and is very suggestive, also for the different legends that revolve around it.
