Fossa is an Abruzzo village located in the province of L'Aquila. Its depopulation began already after the war, but the decisive blow was inflicted on it by the earthquake of 2009. From that moment, in fact, Fossa has become a real ghost town. The members of the Ascosi Lasciti group, which in Latin means hidden inheritances, went to Fossa. This group does 'urbex', that is, it deals with exploring abandoned places. For example, he visited Pripyat, near Chernobyl. The boys of Ascosi Lasciti a Fossa wandered through the deserted streets of the center, entering some houses in search of objects that could tell the stories and the soul of those who lived here. They saw ancient and noble houses, with prestigious furniture and frescoes. They entered the church and opened the ossuary, which certainly had already been visited by lovers of occultism. The urbex, according to them, becomes a sort of obsession, as what can be found in an abandoned place is more true than what is collected in a museum.
