Backpack on your shoulder and laced boots to climb up to 1951m on the snow-covered trail. The ascent is gradual and, although the snow is abundant, it is not frozen, allowing you to leave the snowshoes aside for the moment. It has stopped snowing for a few hours and the foliage of the tall fir trees are already free from the weight of the snow, their dark green color contrasts with the surrounding whiteness. All around it is wrapped in silence guarded among the ice crystals that speak only of the slight traces, of the small animals of the forest. After 40 minutes we reach the crossroads that indicate the Talamini Refuge and the Venezia Refuge, our destination. The light becomes stronger at high altitude and casts long shadows of the large trees across our road. They are ideal and illusory obstacles, a metaphor for the false problems we build for ourselves in city life. We keep on path 493 and reach some mountain huts in Tabià Belvedere at 1752 m. Now the route is rocky up to the Pass and with a steep slope leads to the terrace of the Refuge. The altitude clouds embrace the summit and the Boite valley opens up in the panorama.
