The scattered municipality of Urbe, immersed in the Ligurian woods

Located in the Orbe valley, the town of Urbe is immersed in the dense woods of Liguria. The territory of Urbe is made up of five hamlets and despite being in the province of Savona it is very close to the cities of Genoa and Alessandria, and is crossed by the Orba stream. The various centers are characterized by ancient houses surrounded by nature with pastures, ponds and animals. The economy is in fact based on agriculture and breeding, as well as on the exploitation of the woods also for the collection of products such as mushrooms. Tourism is linked to the natural landscape and each hamlet undertakes to entertain the visitor with different typical events with music, shows, children's parties and food stands. Among the most important places of worship: the parish church of San Pietro in the hamlet of the same name; the parish church of San Giacomo il Maggiore; the Church of Our Lady of the Visitation of modern style since it was rebuilt in the 70s of the twentieth century; and finally the Church of San Giovanni Gualberto in lower Vara.
