The Christmas Markets of Cimego

Cimego is a small town in the province of Trento that a few years ago was incorporated together with Brione and Condino in the new municipality of Borgo Chiese. Here every year, precisely in the medieval village of Quartinago, picturesque Christmas markets take place. To start the event is the mayor accompanied by the notes of the local band. The event was born from an idea of a citizen of Cimego who was inspired by the Christmas markets of nearby Rango. Students from high schools with a linguistic and tourism orientation participate in it by having an important educational experience of school and work. A very special exhibition stand is that of the Witches where you can taste excellent local products such as a digestive amaro made with herbs. Among the most beautiful objects that can be purchased during the event there are dolls wearing hand-embroidered clothes. The decorated tiles, the recycled jewels made with coffee capsules, baskets and much more are also valuable.
