The visit starts from the Aragonese castle dating back to the year 1392 and built thanks to the support of buttresses, now covered with grass. The signs of the subsequent prison function is shown by the railings on the windows, which give it a severe character. Heading towards the Duomo, we walk along a narrow slope between the stone houses that leads to the square and the baroque church. Consecrated in 1742 it is called Piazzese, from the name of the inhabitants of the houses that overlook it. Baron Trigona was the patron of the Cathedral and his residence, Palazzo Trigona or City Palace, is also very beautiful. City of 100 Churches, evidence of its ancient splendor, the village is divided into four districts: Monte, Casaletto, Castellina and Canale. All compete, on August 12-13-14, in the Palio dei Normanni, which celebrates their expulsion at the hands of Ruggero. On this occasion, knights with spears face off, competing to throw the Saracen's hand down. The most awaited visit is the one to Palazzo Romana del Casale and the mosaics, famous all over the world.
