A week in Gela.

Gela is located on the southern coast of Sicily, a city of ancient splendor and crucial for the Mediterranean trade of the ancient Greeks. The Gulf on which it overlooks is extensive and includes many marinas, giving the possibility to differentiate your holiday, between different and beautiful marine environments. The stretches of beach offer, in addition to the pure blue sea, terraces served by cafes, where you can taste the famous granitas with brioche. Many specialties are also offered in the restaurants in the center where you can visit the Cathedral, in neoclassical style. We are surprised by the interiors with the vaults decorated with pure gold and the eighteenth-century paintings. Important artifacts of Greek origin have been found under the floor referring to the pre-existence of a temple. The typical Sicilian carts will take you for a walk around the city, sitting among the dazzling decorations of the Sicilian land. Surreal corners of beaches with old establishments and piers do not contrast the beauty of Gela, but enrich it with mystical and photogenic corners.
