Bronte is a Sicilian town located at the foot of Etna and surrounded by the Etna park and the Nebrodi park. Known mainly for its typical pistachio, to which a traditional festival is dedicated, and which boasts the title of Pistachio DOP, it is also very active from an artisan point of view. It is very rich in churches and many tourist attractions, first of all from the naturalistic point of view for the two natural parks and then also from the historical and artistic point of view. Among the places that certainly deserve a visit we remember: - the Castle of Nelson, or Abbey of Santa Maria di Maniace, is a building that was built in the twelfth century and donated to Admiral Nelson out of gratitude by King Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies. Today the building has become a museum; - the mother church of the Holy Trinity, dating back to 1500; - the church of San Giovanni; - the Collegio Capizzi, a place of culture that has also been frequented by illustrious personalities such as Luigi Capuana, which joins the art gallery located in the same monumental complex.
