The exhibition of the Ossana cribs

For some years now there has been a beautiful tradition in Ossana that takes place during the Christmas period. The city is transformed into the city of nativity scenes: in the streets and inside the castle, models are set up that reproduce the nativity of Jesus and the various scenes connected to it. To give life to this event were the members of the Amici del Presepe association, people who started with passion. The tradition of setting up nativity scenes is strong in the area, and if once makeshift means were used, today there are many technological equipment that simplify the work. Edition after edition we try to create something new, and at the same time we also recover the previous one. One of the most loved nativity scenes by the community is the one that is usually placed in the castle, and which depicts scenes from the First World War, whose memory is alive in the territory. For some time now, the virtual journey from Rovaniemi, the city of Santa Claus, to Ossana has also been introduced.
